Plastic windows need to be maintained regularly for long-term utility value.
To preserve the functionality and long-term useful value of windows and doors, it is necessary to perform the following actions once a year:
- Fittings should be checked for operation and serviceability. In addition, for parts of the fittings, which have a safety character, it is necessary to check their wear at regular intervals.
- It is necessary to lubricate all moving parts of the fittings, as well as the hinges of the entrance door with a drop of Teflon oil.
- Immediately wipe off excess oil with an absorbent cloth. The same instructions also apply to fittings for openable, hinged, double-leaf opening-hinged and opening-opening windows. For lubrication, do not use colored oils, so as not to create stains on the plastic.
- Check the gasket, replace any damaged parts (suitable gaskets with mounting can be ordered via the service form).
- Periodically check the drainage holes at the bottom of the frame (when clogged, it can flow through the window). Clean them if necessary, preferably by vacuuming with a vacuum cleaner.
- Inspect the surface of the plastic profiles and, if necessary, clean them. By polishing and rubbing, an electrostatic charge is created on the plastic, which attracts dust. To remove it, wash the plastic profile with a soapy solution, which you leave to dry on the surface.
